Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Teradata Data Consultant/Engineer to join the Teradata platform Data Mover team. This role focuses on end-to-end data analysis, data movement, governance, and performance optimization to support enterprise data strategy and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Perform end-to-end data analysis aligned with business strategy and operational goals
• Conduct data mining, aggregation, trending analysis, and performance analytics
• Support enterprise data governance by setting and enforcing data management standards
• Monitor data quality, controls, and compliance; identify and escalate risks
• Build and maintain automation solutions for data movement within and outside Teradata
• Design, develop, and optimize Teradata-based solutions with efficiency-focused approaches
• Troubleshoot complex data and performance issues
• Develop proof-of-concepts and automation design approaches
• Mentor developers on coding standards and compliance practices
• Support performance tuning, database upgrades, and role-based access controls

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Teradata SQL and RDBMS concepts
• Experience with Teradata utilities : TPT, BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPump
• Proficiency with NOS, QueryGrid, Clearscape Analytics
• Experience with Python and SQL
• Experience building data automation solutions
• Strong understanding of data governance and data quality practices
• Experience with performance optimization and troubleshooting

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Object Storage, Hadoop, Cloudera , and cloud-native technologies
• Banking or financial services domain experience
• Experience mentoring junior developers
• Strong communication and documentation skills
