Founding Forward-Deployed AI Software Engineer

Location: Redwood City, CA

A high-growth, YC-backed, industry-leading AI startup is seeking a forward-deployed software Engineer to deliver and customise cutting-edge voice-AI solutions for enterprise customers. You’ll work at the intersection of engineering and customer success, partnering with sales, product, and technical teams to prototype, deploy, and iterate on greenfield AI/ML integrations.

What You’ll Do

• Technical Delivery: Prototype, build, and deploy end-to-end AI/ML features—ranging from custom call-flow logic to production-grade service integrations—directly for enterprise clients.
• Customer Collaboration: Partner with sales and key stakeholders to gather requirements, architect tailored solutions, and ensure smooth, successful deployments.
• End-to-End Ownership: Own each engagement from initial discovery through launch and iterative refinement based on real-world feedback.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Liaise with product managers, data scientists, and support teams to drive continuous improvements to the core platform and customer experience.

What We’re Looking For

• Software Expertise: 1–10 years of professional experience developing in Python, Java, or C++.
• Strong Communication: Able to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences and build trust with enterprise stakeholders.
• Problem Solver: Comfortable tackling unfamiliar technical challenges and learning on the fly, bonus if you’ve built or customised AI/ML systems or developer-facing tools.
• Startup Mindset: Ready to thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment; must be onsite for core hours with some remote flexibility.
• Collaborative Attitude: Eager to partner closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to champion customer success and drive product innovation.
