Our client, a Japanese IT company is looking for a SOC Analyst II in the Irvine, CA area to join their team

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 1 year of experience as a SOC analyst and incident response
5 years of experience in cybersecurity or System Administrator
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Basic network and Internet knowledge
Experience in design, documentation, provisioning and installation of network security devices (Firewall, IDS/IPS, WAF) and Servers (Linux/Windows)
MCSE, MCP, CCNA, Security +, CISSP, GIAC, CISA preferred

JOB DUTIES:

Monitor security tools and systems in real time to detect and respond to potential security incidents.
Investigate, document, and manage security incidents through their full lifecycle using case management systems.
Collaborate with senior analysts to analyze alerts, and escalate incidents as needed.
Support client onboarding and maintain internal security assets, including software installation and patching.
Generate and deliver security reports to clients, while continuously identifying improvements to tools and processes.
