We’re currently hiring a full-time School Occupational Therapist to support a school district for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a fully on-site role based in Bremerton, WA .
About the Role
This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide school-based OT services that help students overcome physical, sensory, cognitive, and emotional challenges—enabling them to fully access their education. You'll work collaboratively with a supportive, multidisciplinary team to empower students and promote independence across the school day.
Responsibilities Include
- Supporting the development of fine motor skills (e.g., handwriting, cutting, tool use)
- Improving gross motor coordination , posture, and balance
- Promoting independence in daily routines (e.g., dressing, feeding, toileting when appropriate)
- Assisting with sensory regulation strategies and focus accommodations
- Adapting classroom tools and materials to promote accessibility
- Recommending and training students on assistive technology (e.g., pencil grips, slant boards)
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and specialists on accommodations/interventions
- Conducting evaluations and contributing to IEPs and 504 plans
- Monitoring and documenting progress toward therapy goals
Qualifications
- Active Washington State Occupational Therapy License
- Valid ESA Certificate (Educational Staff Associate)
- Prior school-based experience preferred
- Familiarity with IEP documentation systems a plus
- Must be available for full-time, in-person work
