Respiratory Therapist

Location: Erie, Pa 16509

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 hour shifts

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our clinical team. In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality respiratory care across a variety of patient settings. You’ll work closely with interdisciplinary teams to improve respiratory health outcomes through evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians
• Monitor patient responses and adjust care plans as needed
• Conduct diagnostic tests, including pulmonary function testing and arterial blood gas analysis
• Manage ventilator support and oxygen therapy systems
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and equipment usage
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
• Document patient care accurately and promptly in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
• Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred
• BLS and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Experience in acute care or long-term care settings preferred
