Job Description

HVAC/R Technician // Refrigeration & HVAC Technician // Commercial Refrigeration Technician

Location: Within 40 miles of designated service markets (multiple markets open)

Pay: $30–$40/hour ($60,000–$80,000/year)

Bonus potential based on market and performance

Schedule:

Standard hours: 7:00am–4:00pm (varies slightly by market)

Rotational on-call every 3–4 weeks

Occasional overnight travel may be required

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in:

  • Refrigeration
  • Commercial HVAC
  • Appliance repair
  • Kitchen equipment repair
  • Related military service
  • EPA Universal or EPA Type I & II certification preferred
  • CFESA certification a plus
  • Must pass background check, drug screen (controlled substances only), and MVR/driving record check

Key Responsibilities:

Install, inspect, service, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including:

  • Compressors, chillers, condensers, evaporators, pumps, valves, and motors
  • Boilers, air handlers, forced air systems, and cooling towers
  • Refrigeration units, walk-ins, reach-ins, and other kitchen-related HVAC systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues, and ensure system efficiency
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, vacuum pumps, welding equipment, and diagnostic devices
  • Maintain logs, time/labor reports, service records, and inventory of parts/tools
  • Conduct electrical maintenance related to HVAC systems, including wiring, control panels, relays, switches, and thermostats
  • Install copper tubing, test joints, insulate pipes, rebuild safety valves and water pumps, and calibrate systems
  • Rebuild or replace motors, fans, gaskets, filters, belts, controls, and bearings as needed
