Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join the team at an outpatient sleep clinic in Mount Pleasant, SC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, supporting clinical staff, and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Interaction:

• Greet and check-in patients.
• Schedule and confirm appointments.
• Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
• Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documentation.

Administrative Duties:

• Maintain and update patient records.
• Process insurance claims and handle billing inquiries.
• Manage office supplies and inventory.
• Coordinate with other medical facilities for patient referrals.

Communication:

• Liaise between patients, medical staff, and external providers.
• Relay important information to patients regarding their appointments and treatment plans.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration is a plus.
• Previous experience in a medical office or similar setting preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation:

$18 - $20 per hour
