Job Title: Medical Data Specialist II
Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite in Valencia, CA
Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced Medical Data Specialist II to design, build, and manage scalable data infrastructure that powers data-driven insights across healthcare operations. This role bridges IT and business needs—ensuring data is accurate, compliant, and efficiently supports analytics, CRM, and decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data architecture, models, and metadata management.
- Develop and maintain high-volume ETL pipelines for structured and unstructured healthcare data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and deliver analytical insights.
- Build data APIs and delivery services for internal applications and partners.
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and compliance with HIPAA and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 standards.
- Integrate healthcare data (FHIR, HL7, OMOP) from EHRs, devices, and cloud sources.
- Leverage cloud services and modern data technologies to deliver sustainable, automated solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or related field.
- 5+ years of data engineering experience, preferably with regulated healthcare data.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and ETL development .
- Experience with AWS (Glue, EMR, S3, Lambda, ECS) .
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) .
- Familiarity with FHIR, HL7, OMOP data models.
- Experience with Spark, Flink, Kafka, or Terraform is a plus.
