JOB: Materials Manager
LOCATION: Anaheim
DESCRIPTION: We’re seeking an experienced Materials Manager to oversee inventory, purchasing, shipping/receiving, and material handling operations in a manufacturing environment. This role will lead efforts in inventory control, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure efficient production support and cost-effective materials planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory and material flow to support production needs
- Develop and implement inventory control strategies and KPIs
- Lead vendor negotiations and resolve delivery or quality issues
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and finance to forecast material needs
- Maintain ERP accuracy and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Lead and develop warehouse/materials staff
- Drive cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- 7–10 years of materials/inventory management experience in manufacturing
- Strong ERP and Excel skills; knowledge of MRP and demand planning
- Proven leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, Lean principles, and electronic components a plus
