Title - Project Manager

Location - Charlotte, NC

Job Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating all stages of assigned projects, from engineering and purchasing through quality, production, and shipping. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with customer quality expectations. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with other Project Managers and multiple departments throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate all aspects of projects by coordinating with engineering, purchasing, quality, and production teams.
  • Monitor project progress and initiate corrective action when necessary to maintain project health.
  • Host and facilitate meetings, including Sales Handover, Kickoff, and Project Health Meetings.
  • Serve as the main point of contact with customers, communicating project status, addressing issues, and managing expectations and change requests.
  • Create and maintain work plans, detailed project schedules, risk management reports, cost projections, variance reports, open issues lists, and project evaluations.
  • Provide regular project status reports and presentations to management.
  • Organize and maintain all project documentation in both electronic and paper formats.
  • Coordinate technical support for new and existing customers through field visits, meetings, and design reviews.
  • Manage the change management process, communicating effectively with both internal departments and the client.
  • Oversee multiple projects with competing deadlines, including supporting projects led by other Project Managers.
  • Track and confirm timely release of all materials required to support project execution.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • University degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
  • 3–5 years of planning and/or management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • PMP certification is considered an asset but is not required.
  • Demonstrated strengths in creativity, innovation, teamwork, problem solving, decision-making, organization, and planning.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) and ERP Management Systems (preference for Visual Manufacturing).
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to travel, primarily within North America and occasionally abroad.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

  • Normal office environment, well-lit and ventilated.
  • Occasional exposure to shop floor and warehouse conditions.
  • Frequent sitting and computer work; standing and walking required for meetings, inspections, and collaboration.
  • Occasional bending, crouching, climbing stairs, and light lifting (generally under 20 lbs).
  • Repetitive movements such as typing and handling documents.
