About the Role

The Logistics Coordinator (Part-Time/Intern) will support Hawthorne Health’s Supply Chain & Logistics team in the preparation and coordination of materials for clinical research studies. This role will work closely with a remote logistics team, ensuring timely preparation of lab kits, accurate creation of lab requisitions and shipping labels, and efficient packing and dispatch of study-related supplies to clinical staff (“Heroes”) for in-home and site-based visits.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, regulated environment while maintaining high accuracy standards.

Key Responsibilities

Kit Preparation & Assembly

• Work through a daily/weekly logistics queue to prepare clinical research lab kits according to study-specific protocols and supply lists.
• Verify kit contents for accuracy and completeness prior to sealing and labeling.

Order Fulfillment & Shipping

• Pack medical supplies and study equipment for outbound shipments.
• Generate accurate lab requisitions and shipping labels using company systems.
• Coordinate and schedule domestic shipments, ensuring proper packaging for temperature-sensitive or fragile items.

Coordination & Communication

• Collaborate with the remote logistics team to align on priorities, deadlines, and supply needs.
• Communicate shipment confirmations, tracking information, and any supply shortages to the logistics team promptly.

Inventory Support

• Assist in maintaining an organized supply storage area.
• Track and replenish commonly used items to avoid delays in kit preparation.

Compliance & Documentation

• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, and study-specific instructions for handling supplies and documentation.
• Ensure accurate documentation for all kit builds and shipments to support audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in logistics, shipping, or warehouse coordination is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and comfortable learning new software systems.
• Able to lift and move boxes up to 30 lbs.

Work Schedule & Environment

• Part-time, estimated 16–24 hours per week.
• Onsite 2–3 days per week at Hopkinton, MA
