Job Title: HVAC Technician (Apprentice to Journeyman)

Location: Sun Valley, Idaho

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking skilled HVAC Technicians at various levels of experience, from Apprentices to Journeymen, to join our team in Sun Valley, Idaho. The ideal candidates will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential and commercial clients. You will be working in the field, handling service calls, installation projects, and general maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities:

Apprentice Level:

• Assist experienced technicians with HVAC system installations and repairs.
• Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot system issues under supervision.
• Gain hands-on experience in maintaining and servicing HVAC equipment.
• Follow all safety protocols and industry standards.
• Participate in training and education to develop technical skills.

Mid-Level Technician:

• Install, service, and repair HVAC systems with limited supervision.
• Perform preventative maintenance and tune-ups on various heating and cooling systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in HVAC systems and suggest appropriate repairs.
• Provide excellent customer service during field visits.
• Assist in training apprentices and share technical knowledge with junior team members.

Journeyman Level:

• Lead HVAC installation projects, ensuring compliance with local building codes and manufacturer specifications.
• Independently diagnose, repair, and maintain complex HVAC systems.
• Conduct system tests and performance checks, ensuring optimal operation.
• Mentor and guide apprentices and mid-level technicians in their fieldwork.
• Communicate effectively with customers, providing detailed explanations of issues and solutions.
• Manage and complete paperwork, including service reports and work orders.

Qualifications:

• Apprentice Level: High school diploma or equivalent; mechanically included with skilled trades experience, enrollment in or completion of an HVAC training program preferred.
• Mid-Level Technician: 2+ years of HVAC experience, EPA certification preferred.
• Journeyman Level: 5+ years of experience, Journeyman HVAC License required.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment.
