Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator / Material Handler to support daily warehouse operations. This role is responsible for safely operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading shipments, and ensuring accurate inventory movement within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Shift: 7am-3pm

Location: Brooklyn Heights, OH

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, pallet jack, as applicable) in a safe and efficient manner
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers
• Transport materials to designated storage, staging, or production areas
• Perform material handling tasks such as palletizing, wrapping, labeling, and staging products
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against packing slips and report discrepancies
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
• Follow all safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, and company policies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment
• Assist with other warehouse or operational duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous forklift operating experience required
• Valid forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification)
• Prior warehouse experience, including loading and unloading freight
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, shipping documents, and labels
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and moving throughout the shift
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

• Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures
• Fast-paced environment requiring frequent standing, lifting, and movement
