Fire Sprinkler Inspector Position Overview The Fire Sprinkler Inspector is responsible for conducting inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with local and national fire safety regulations. This role is critical in maintaining the safety and operational efficiency of fire protection systems in various settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities - Conduct thorough inspections of fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Perform testing, maintenance, and repairs on fire sprinkler systems to ensure they perform effectively during emergencies.
- Document inspection findings, maintenance actions, and repairs completed, and provide detailed reports to clients and management.
- Collaborate with contractors and clients to schedule inspections and maintenance activities on job sites.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices related to fire protection and sprinkler systems.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to clients, addressing any questions or concerns regarding fire sprinkler systems.
Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in fire protection or related field preferred.
- Experience in fire sprinkler inspection, service, or installation.
- Knowledge of NFPA standards and local fire codes related to fire safety.
- Active NICET Level II RME-I license required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex guidelines and regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
