NAVFAC is hiring a Supervisory Fire Protection Engineer in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii!

This role is a critical technical expert position, supporting Naval Facilities and other supported Commands. Responsibilities for this role entail:

• Lead all fire protection engineering for facilities sustainment, restoration, modernization, and military construction projects.
• Conduct field investigations and provide oversight during design preparation.
• Review designs, scopes of work, and technical analyses from in-house staff, AEs, and partner organizations.
• Oversee and coordinate work through subordinate supervisors while collaborating with officials across commands.
• Manage funding sources and resources for a wide range of projects.

A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Driver's License
• ABET accredited Bachelor's of Science
• You must currently be a Registered Professional Engineer (PE). Your registration must be held in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. NOTE: You must include a copy of your license.
• Must hold U.S. Citizenship
• Aged 18 or older at time of hire
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
