Required Skills & Experience

Minimum Skills & Requirements ● 6+ years in web-focused software engineering, with recent, hands-on coding experience. ● 4+ years leading and scaling engineering teams ● Proficiency in Laravel (or similar backend frameworks), Python, Node, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript, React (or similar frontend frameworks) ●Strong ability to evaluate trade-offs, make pragmatic product/engineering decisions, and connect technical work to business outcomes. ● Proven history of shipping software reliably and predictably while maintaining quality. ● Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to adapt based on audience. ● Dependable, decisive, and comfortable navigating ambiguity to drive impact.

Job Description

• A Client of Insight Global's is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager with leadership to deliver impact for our client's customers and the business. This hire will actively contribute to our client's codebase, while growing and empowering a high-performing engineering team. This Engineering Manager will work cross-functionally to remove obstacles, accelerate outcomes, and scale how our client builds. Leadership should embody the following principles--acting as one team, moving quickly with depth, and protecting trust at every touchpoint. Essential Functions: Write production code alongside your team, while setting technical direction and ensuring thoughtful architecture. Pair with engineers, conduct code reviews, architecture reviews, and model best practices to ship high-quality features at pace. Recruit, coach, and develop engineers to reach their full potential while aligning on shared outcomes. Own engineering metrics around velocity, quality, and reliability. Build systems for accountability, transparency, and clear follow-through. Shape Technical Strategy Create an environment where engineers can surface ideas and concerns openly. Once a decision is made, drive Encourage exploration of new technologies, ask thoughtful questions, and enable your team to test and learn while staying outcome-oriented.
