Master Scheduler (Planning & Delivery Manager)

In this role, you’ll create and own the master schedule , making sure every order flows through CNC machining, finishing, and outsourcing on time without losing efficiency. You'll own the full order-to-delivery process .

This opportunity is with a CNC precision machining company serving aerospace, defense, healthcare, and high-tech industries. With 60 CNC machines (including automation) and a rapidly growing team, committed to world-class quality and performance.

What You’ll Do

• Own the Master Schedule : Plan and control all CNC machining operations and related processes (internal and outsourced) to hit customer delivery dates.
• Lead the Planning Function : Direct a team of planners, schedulers, buyers, and coordinators (~20 people) to ensure alignment and accountability.
• Balance Priorities : Optimize machine uptime and ensure customer orders ship on time.
• Integrate Processes : Unite ERP (Epicor) and tracking, improving visibility across production.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally : Work with production, engineering, supply chain, and customer service to remove bottlenecks and adjust plans dynamically.
• Drive Continuous Improvement : Implement scheduling best practices, leverage ERP tools fully, and improve KPIs such as on-time delivery and schedule adherence.

What You Bring

• Experience : 5–8+ years in production planning/scheduling leadership in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment (aerospace, defense, or CNC preferred).
• ERP Expertise : Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP scheduling (Epicor a plus).
• Leadership : Proven track record of managing teams and influencing change across multiple departments.
• Process Mindset : Skilled in project management, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Certifications : APICS CPIM, PMP, or Lean/Six Sigma are a big plus.
