Cost Estimator – Sheet Metal Fabrication

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Cost Estimator to join the Sheet Metal Fabrication team.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in sheet metal fabrication
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, specs, and bills of materials
• Familiar with CAD/CAM software like SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong time management and communication skills
• Knowledge of quality control practices
• Able to work independently and ensure accuracy in estimates

Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyze project requirements and develop accurate labor and material cost estimates
• Review CAD drawings and customer specifications to determine fabrication needs
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and purchasing teams to gather project information
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising accuracy
• Use estimating and CAD software (e.g., Paperless Parts) to support quoting process
• Maintain detailed documentation and track all estimate-related data.
